The October Bank Holiday weekend is fast approaching and many will be making the most of the few days off by heading abroad.
It won’t come as much of a surprise that Dublin Airport will be facing a hectic weekend as thousands of passengers move through both terminals from Friday to Monday.
While officials at Dublin Airport say they don’t expect any major delays over the next few days, Ryanair is asking its customers to allow plenty of time ahead of their flights.

The Irish airline has been issuing the advice to its passengers via emails warning of ‘delays at security.'
Around 350,000 passengers are expected to arrive and depart from Dublin Airport this weekend and a spokesperson for the daa has reassured them that it does not expect any issues.
Despite the warning from Ryanair, the carrier isn’t advising customers to give any more than the recommended time before their flight to get through security which remains two hours for a short-haul flight and three hours for a long-haul flight.
Tomorrow is likely going to be the busiest day across the weekend with around 100,000 passengers coming through the airport.
Passengers can expect the morning to be the busiest time with 75 flights departing before 8.30 am.
Things won’t settle down until late evening due to 197 flights departing between 10.30 am and 8.30 pm.
Therefore, the quietest time of the day will be between 8:30 pm and 11:30 pm when just 15 flights are scheduled to depart.
As a final reminder, all passengers are asked to add an hour to their travel time if they’re checking in a bag.
