Indiana Fever rookie guard Caitlin Clark is already one of the best 3-point scorers in the WNBA.
However, will she be participating in Friday’s WNBA 3-point contest in Phoenix as part of the All-Star Game festivities?
Ahead of Wednesday night’s Fever game against the Dallas Wings, Clark didn’t give an indication either way as to whether or not she was participating in the 3-point contest as a member of Team WNBA.
“My focus is on this game,” Clark told reporters, via Clutch Points reporter Matthew Byrne.
At the time, our best guess was a resounding yes since she’ll be playing in the All-Star Game. How could she not? She’s Caitlin Clark!
Asked Caitlin Clark if the league has reached out about the upcoming 3PT Contest on Friday: "I don't know. My focus is on this game tonight and then we'll turn to All-Star then after that. Need to beat Dallas, so."

However, news broke late Wednesday night that she would not be competing in this year’s 3-point contest, either a WNBA decision or one made with Clark’s input.
Sadly, the answer is no. Bummer!
