Will Aaron Mooy hold down Celtic place and what is Rangers strongest starting XI? Saturday Jury

Aaron Mooy is the latest new arrival at Celtic - but will the Aussie hold down a place in the first XI and where?

KEITH JACKSON: It’s not obvious to see where he fits in other than in a job sharing capacity with Matt O’Riley. Well, if it was good enough for Tom Rogic after all. But Mooy certainly has the talent to make an impact.

SCOTT BURNS: There is no doubt he is a quality player that Ange knows well. I, however, don’t really see him starting ahead of any of the current midfielders. He will get game time but I don’t, as it stands, see him as a first-pick. That, however, could change with performances.

GORDON PARKS: Mooy could be a signing which becomes a catalyst for Celtic in the creative midfield area as he’s more than capable of becoming a key man. He’s highly regarded by some of the best managers in the business and is a terrific footballer, he has the quality to be a superb signing in an advanced role.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst is overseeing a bit of a rebuild at Rangers this summer. As things stand, name his strongest starting line-up.

KEITH: McGregor, Tavernier, Goldson, Souttar, Barisic, Jack, Lundstram, Lawrence, Matondo, Morelos, Kent.

SCOTT: McGregor, Tavernier, Goldson, Davies, Barisic, Kamara, Jack, Lundstram, Lawrence, Morelos, Kent.

GORDON: McLaughlin, Tavernier, Goldson, Souttar, Barisic, Lundstram, Jack, Matondo, Kent, Colak, Morelos.

After a horrible summer are Hibs in for a torrid campaign or is Lee Johnson the man to turn them around?

KEITH: The club is a shambles from the top down and it’s going to take more than just the manager to sort it out. It’s been one catastrophic decision after the next over the last year or so. And what happens next if Ron Gordon gets itchy feet and starts looking to offload?

SCOTT: I thought he was the right appointment in the summer and my view on that hasn’t changed. There has been too much managerial turmoil at Easter Road. They need a bit of stability and long-term thinking. I think Lee Johnson will turn things around.

GORDON: It’s going to take time for a club crying out for a bit of calm and stability and Johnson is more than capable of getting Hibs to a level of consistency and a top six spot. They need to work out a system and style which suits them and this campaign can still be a positive one as it’s far too early for panic stations.

Motherwell are the latest club to embarrass Scottish football in Europe. Are they doomed to crash out against Sligo Rovers next week?

KEITH: Probably. But that might be just the anger talking because it’s hard not to be annoyed after this latest humiliation was inflicted upon our game. Fingers crossed they sort themselves out next week before any more damage is done to the coefficient.

SCOTT: It was a bad result for Motherwell. I still reckon they can overturn it in the second leg. The Welsh team, Bala, won in Sligo in the last round, so why can’t Motherwell? I would back Graham Alexander to get the result.

GORDON: No. Sligo were terrific on Thursday but they are an average side and won’t be able to repeat the feat at the Showgrounds against a Motherwell side who will put things right.
