Will 2022 be Mike Tomlin’s first losing season?

The Pittsburgh Steelers have been the model of consistency since Mike Tomlin became the head coach in 2007. For 15 seasons, Tomlin’s teams have avoided a losing season, a feat no other team can come close to.

But this season could be different. This will be the first season of Tomlin’s tenure he won’t start the year with Hall of Fame quarterback Ben Roethlisberger under center. Roethlisberger retired this offseason and now Tomlin’s ability to coach will truly be put to the test.

We saw a taste of this in 2019. Roethlisberger went down with a season-ending elbow injury in the second half of their Week Two matchup with the Seattle Seahawks. Thanks to a lights-out defense, Tomlin and a struggling offense limped to an 8-8 record.

This season the defense isn’t likely to be as good as that 2019 group but hopefully the offense will be better. Mitch Trubisky was brought in to play quarterback and the offensive line has upgraded since last season.

Cast your vote and let us know if you think Tomlin’s streak will end this season in a very crowded AFC or can he continue to find a way to keep this team competitive.
