Wild surf, erosion warning for east coast

Extensive coastal erosion and dangerous surf conditions are possible in southern Queensland and northern NSW as a powerful weather system develops offshore.

Potentially dangerous beach conditions are expected from Thursday in Queensland and Friday in NSW, although the weather system is currently expected to remain off the coast.
