Wild Card Start ’Em: Wide Receivers

Start of the Week

Mike Evans vs. Philadelphia Eagles (Mon. 8 p.m. ET, ESPN): Evans has posted less than stellar numbers lately, scoring just 15.2 points in his last two games. The veteran is in a great spot to rebound, though, as he’ll face one of the league’s most vulnerable pass defenses. The Eagles allowed the second-most points to perimeter receivers in the regular season, so Evans should post a very solid stat line.

Start ’Em

Amari Cooper at Houston Texans (Sat. 4:30 p.m. ET, NBC): Cooper, who was out of the last two games of the regular season, should be back in action for a huge contest in Houston. The veteran has been matchup proof since Joe Flacco took over the offense, scoring a ridiculous 75.1 fantasy points in his last three games. So, while Houston is tough on the perimeter, Cooper remains a terrific option.

Sit of the Week

Nico Collins vs. Cleveland Browns (Sat. 4:30 p.m. ET, NBC): Collins is coming off a monster game against the Indianapolis Colts, scoring 34.5 points. That alone makes it tough to sit him, but I would temper my expectations against the Browns. Their defense allowed just eight touchdowns and the sixth-fewest fantasy points to perimeter receivers, so Collins could post mediocre fantasy stats in this contest.

Sit ’Em

George Pickens at Buffalo Bills (1 p.m. ET, CBS): Pickens was on absolute fire, scoring a combined 55.6 points in the last two rounds of the fantasy playoffs. Then, unfortunately, he posted 0.3 points in Week 18. Next up is a date with the Bills, who have allowed one touchdown and the second-fewest fantasy points to perimeter receivers in the last four weeks. I’d beware Pickens in fantasy lineups this week.
