The widow of a volunteer firefighter who tragically lost his life at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania over the weekend has shared that former President Trump reached out to offer his condolences and support. Helen Comperatore took to Facebook to reveal that Trump personally called her on Tuesday, just three days after her husband Corey was fatally shot while trying to shield his family during the campaign event in Butler.
Comperatore expressed that Trump was very kind during their conversation and assured her that he would stay in touch in the coming days and weeks. She recounted telling Trump the same sentiment she had shared with others - that her husband passed away as a hero, and she believes God has welcomed him with open arms. She firmly believes that Corey's sacrifice was not in vain on that fateful day.
