After Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja got India out of jail to post 376 in their first innings on the second day of the opening Test against Bangladesh in Chennai, Akash Deep turned on the heat with his bowling to hurt the visitors before lunch at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.

India's bowling spearhead Jasprit Bumrah provided his team a perfect start by cleaning up opener Shadman Islam (2). It put Bangladesh under pressure immediately, and Akash Deep made full use of the opportunity by bowling on the stumps to reap rich dividends.
