Thomas Zilliacus has called upon Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani to join forces with him to buy Manchester United, with the Finnish businessman apologising for referring to the club as 'ManU'.
Zilliacus, who is chairman of the social media company novaM Group, submitted a proposal last week which would see him buy United before selling a 50 per cent stake back to the fans. Supporters would then pay roughly $6 to have a stake in the club.
This would then allow fans to vote on club proposals with no new idea being passed until it receives the majority backing of the fanbase. Zilliacus took to Twitter on Sunday to declare that he was not interested in buying Liverpool, despite newspaper reports claiming that he was interested in the Merseyside club.

Zilliacus has also claimed that Ratcliffe and Sheikh Jassim should join forces with him to create a better United. He explained: "I want to buy Manchester United to make it the best club in the world, on and off the field.
"If my main rivals want the same then we should join forces. Three strong owners equals three times more money for the club equals a better and stronger Man United."
The Finn also apologised to supporters on Twitter after he referred to United as 'ManU' in a tweet, explaining that this is what the Reds are called in Scandinavia.
