Why the Dodgers didn’t list a starting pitcher ahead of NLCS Game 2 vs. the Mets

Yes, you’re reading right. The Los Angeles Dodgers had “TBD” listed as their starting pitcher for Game 2 of the NLCS against the New York Mets as of Monday morning, which is weird since they had days to figure that out, right?

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts announced that L.A. will have a “bullpen game” in Game 2, meaning they would put a reliever on the mound as an “opener” for the second playoff game in Los Angeles, and then other relievers would follow after that. It’s not something new for the Dodgers in the playoffs, for what it’s worth.
