The Los Angeles Rams landed in Australia just before dawn on Thursday, aiming to begin their journey home before sunset on Friday.

They will spend roughly 36 hours in Melbourne framed by two 15-hour flights, but coach Sean McVay remains confident this unusual schedule offers the Rams their best chance of opening the regular season with a hard-earned victory over the San Francisco 49ers.
