The Lesson Nobody Admits to Teaching
You have seen it happen. A boy falls, scrapes his knee, starts to cry, and before the tears are out, an adult voice cuts in. "Ladke nahi rote." Boys don't cry. The words land so fast, so casually, that nobody in the room registers them as instruction. But they are.
