Islamabad, Pakistan – Long-running sectarian tensions in Pakistan’s Kurram region have exploded again, with more than 70 people killed over the past four days in the tribal district bordering Afghanistan.
A picturesque mountainous region in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Kurram has been plagued by violence since late July, when a land dispute between Shia and Sunni tribes led to at least 46 deaths.
