I just got out of Crenshaw Cinemark's jam-packed 4:10 p.m. Friday presentation of Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, the third part of a 10-year-old 20th Century Fox reboot of a well-iterated 56-year-old cinematic property … graphics from which festooned once my lunchbox back in the second grade. (Shocking how many people turned out for this movie, given how much of a tomb this South Los Angeles multiplex has been recently, but more on that in a minute).
