Why Rangers not signing Vanja Dragojevic would give Partizan 'serious headache'

Partizan Belgrade will end up with a "serious headache" if Rangers do NOT sign Vanja Dragojevic, it is being claimed.

After the arrivals of Dan Neil and Cammy Devlin, Derek McInnes still wants to add to his midfield and has made overtures towards Dragojevic and Tromso's Jens Hjerto-Dahl.

They had an initial bid of £3.8million turned down by the Serbian side and also had an offer for Hjerto-Dahl rejected - with Cardiff City in the mix.

Partizan's Ognjen Ugresic is another of their players attracting interest, from Serie A, and they are eyeing up Slavia Prague midfielder Timothy Ouma as a replacement for both.

However, Rangers' pursuit of Hjerto-Dahl and sparked fears they won't maintain their interest in Dragojevic.

And Serbian outlet Sportinjo claim Partizan chiefs would end up with a "serious headache" if the 20-year-old doesn't move to Ibrox, due to the knock-on effect it would have on their interest in Ouma.

Meanwhile, Tromso chief said on Hjerto-Dahl: "There have been negotiations over the past week. We'll see what happens, it could take a while. Several clubs are interested, but a lot has to fall into place for something to happen.

"If he's going to move on, it has to be a club Jens wants to go to and we also have pretty high expectations for the price.”
