Why no one trusts the Boston Celtics in close games

The Boston Celtics are a very nice group of young men for the most part, and when it comes to winning an NBA title, that may be a big part of their current problem. As a finesse team, when they are playing connected, they are pretty much impossible to stop. But get things ugly and junked up, and this group of very handsome gentlemen hang back, afraid to get their hands dirty.

Or so goes the argument about Boston’s supposed lack of killer instinct when it comes to putting away an inferior ball club. Can we trust the Celtics to get things done when they (or should we say IF they) get back to the league’s biggest of stages?

The hosts of the eponymous “Dan LeBatard” show took some to talk it over on a recent episode.
