Mitch McConnell returned 92 days after his 14 June hospitalisation following a fall at his Washington home, but cameras did not capture his voice in the corridor where he appeared.

Senate staff told reporters not to record video of McConnell's remarks in the second-floor hallway, although still photographs were permitted.
