Frank Lampard has confirmed that Kai Havertz misses Chelsea's clash with Brighton due to a knee injury. However, the German forward should be fit enough to feature in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Havertz was introduced from the bench against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu as the Blues were defeated 2-0 by the 2022 Champions League winners. The 23-year-old picked up the issue in his brief time on the pitch against Los Blancos.
As a result, Chelsea have made use of a front three of Raheem Sterling, Christian Pulisic and Mykhailo Mudryk as Joao Felix drops to the bench. The latter two players come as part of six changes Lampard has made to the team.

Lampard said: "Kai Has had a little issue with his knee which he felt in Madrid on Wednesday night. He should be fine for Tuesday.
"My other changes are for freshness and more energy. We gave a big output the other day and therefore some players need to rest completely for Tuesday. Players have to come in and have that freshness about them, I am not concerned but instead excited.
N'Golo Kante and Thiago Silva are two players who drop out of the squad entirely as their fitness is managed ahead of the return leg against Real Madrid.
