Music fans who missed Paul McCartney's Glastonbury performance on Saturday night have taken to social media after discovering it still hasn't been released on BBC iPlayer - almost 24 hours later. The Beatles legend's performance was hailed as "phenomenal" by critics, with the star being joined on stage by the Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl, as well as Bruce Springsteen.
Viewers hoping to catch up on Macca's set have been left disappointed after heading to the BBC streaming service, and discovering his headlining performance is nowhere to be seen. One person messaged the BBC to no avail and said: "Why is Paul McCartney not on BBC iPlayer?" as they were desperate to watch the 80-year-singer at Glastonbury.
The BBC iPlayer Twitter account replied to a frustrated fan on Sunday afternoon saying that they would be able to watch the set in the next couple of hours - but five hours later and the performance had still not been made playable. The frustrations came after fans were left querying why the concert wasn't shown live on the BBC on Saturday night but instead delayed by an hour. Read more about that here.
This led to one viewer to comment: "BBC iPlayer knowing they've got the Paul McCartney footage but not letting us watch it and not really explaining why is a really weird abuse of power."
"We are waiting very patiently here," said one person, desperate to see McCartney perform.
Another person, meanwhile, said: "How much longer till we can watch Paul McCartney on BBC iPlayer please?"
It is, however, not unusual for programmes to take a short amount of time to appear on iPlayer after the live broadcast. As soon as it’s available this link will take you right to it.
Paul's Glastonbury performance was somewhat historic, as the Beatles legend became the oldest person to perform at the festival in it's 52-year history. During the set, he played a huge variety of songs including Live and Let Die, Let It Be and Hey Jude.
He made headlines for waving the Ukrainian flag during an encore performance at the end of his act in solidarity with the war-torn country.
You can watch Paul McCartney's Glastonbury performance on BBC iPlayer... Soon... We hope! Impatient viewers can listen to the set on BBC Sounds right now.
