As the summer of sport continues on the BBC, with the channel providing live coverage of many big events, EastEnders has been bumped from its normal 7.30pm slot on BBC One. The soap has changed channel as BBC One airs MOTD Live: UEFA Women's Euro 2022.
On Tuesday, July 26 EastEnders will instead air on BBC Two at 7.30pm. The show will then not air at all on Wednesday, July 27 as BBC One continues to air MOTD Live: UEFA Women's Euro 2022 and BBC Two will be airing Live T20 Cricket from 6pm.
Thursday, July 28 will see EastEnders have two episodes, to make up for Wednesday's missing episode, which will air at 7pm and 7:30pm on BBC Two. BBC One will be airing the Commonwealth Games 2022 from 7pm on Thursday, July 28.

EastEnders will also not air on Friday, July 29 as BBC One continues to show the Commonwealth Games 2022. The One Show will also not air on Friday, July 29 due to the scheduling change.
The following week EastEnders will still be shown on BBC Two, rather than BBC One, on Monday, August 1 at 7.30pm. EastEnders will also remain on BBC Two on Tuesday, August 2 airing at 7.30pm.
EastEnders not shown at all on Wednesday, August 3, as BBC One airs the Commonwealth Games 2022 and BBC Two airs The Hundred. There will be another double episode of the soap on Thursday, August 4 at 7pm and 7.30pm on BBC Two.
In preparation for the changes to the TV schedule, the BBC is also making all weekly episodes of EastEnders available on BBC iPlayer on the Monday of that week. This means that fans can catch up and enjoy the week's episodes whenever suits them.
A new character is set to join Albert Square, Freddie Slater, who will be played by Jade Goody's son Bobby Brazier. Shane Ritchie is also set to return to the soap as Alfie Moon.
