For nearly four years, PewDiePie’s monthly vlogs have offered fans a rare look into a quieter chapter of his life. What began as a way to document his move to Japan gradually evolved into a family-centered series featuring his wife Marzia and their young son, Björn. Now, that chapter is coming to an end.
In a new vlog covering April and May 2026, the long-time YouTube creator said the series will wrap up in September. The announcement came as a surprise to many viewers, but the decision comes amid a growing concern among many parents navigating life in the digital age: giving children the freedom to grow up away from the spotlight.
PewDiePie explains his son Björn played a role in the decision
The latest vlog was in a familiar format. Felix Kjellberg went on a trip around Japan, joined fellow creator Connor “CDawgVA” for a charity bike ride, and spent time with family in Osaka. Björn was always present throughout the video, which eventually resulted in a difficult decision for the family.
Near the end of the vlog, PewDiePie addressed viewers directly.
"I have somewhat bad news. Me and Marzia announced on our blog post already that we have decided... that we are going to end the vlogs in September."
