DeenTheGreat, whose real name is Nurideen Shabazz, is facing a second-degree felony robbery charge and a misdemeanor battery charge after an alleged incident on a yacht in Miami on May 27. If he is convicted of the robbery charge, he could face up to 15 years in a Florida prison. The case came to light after TMZ obtained court documents, while later reports also confirmed details about his upcoming court hearing. Even as the charges remain in place, Shabazz’s lawyer says he expects prosecutors to dismiss the case soon. A hearing is currently scheduled for August 4.

Why Nurideen Shabazz was charged after the alleged yacht incident
According to court documents first reported by TMZ, the case began after a woman told police that an argument between her and Shabazz turned physical while they were on a yacht.
She claimed Shabazz asked her to leave the yacht because other men were trying to speak to her after he allegedly warned her not to entertain anyone but him.
