NEW DELHI: On the second day of the fourth Test against Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, the Indian cricket team wore black armbands to pay tribute to Dr. Manmohan Singh, the former Prime Minister of India, who passed away in New Delhi.
Dr. Singh, who served as India’s Prime Minister for two consecutive terms from 2004 to 2014, passed away at the age of 92 on December 26. His death occurred at AIIMS after he fell unconscious at his residence, reportedly due to health issues linked to his advanced age.
