Why Heritage Live has cancelled its summer festivals featuring Lionel Richie and Eric Clapton

  • Heritage Live has cancelled its summer concert series across Englefield Estate, Audley End Estate and Sandringham Estate.
  • In a statement, it cited "far lower than average ticket sales" and "general financial uncertainty”.
  • Planned line-ups included high-profile artists such as Eric Clapton , Ricky Martin and Lionel Richie .
  • Organisers said that “an investment and equity package” fell through at the last minute, adding: “It would therefore be irresponsible and wrong of us to proceed without the certainty that we’d be able to meet all of our supplier, artist and crew costs.”
  • Ticket holders will receive refunds via their respective ticket agents, and are advised to retain their transaction receipts.
