One player who grasped the early headlines was an infamous name in the Arsenal transfer world, Gonzalo Higuain. The former Argentinian international announced he would retire at the end of the current MLS season as he hopes to take Inter Miami into the play-offs.
"The day has arrived to say goodbye to football," said Higuain during a press conference."[It's] a profession that has given me so much and one I feel privileged to have lived with its good and bad moments.
