When Brian Daboll got to New York, there was an understanding they would surround Daniel Jones with talent and give him the best opportunity to succeed. That starts up front with protection, and the Giants just nabbed one of the best players in the draft to help with that.
Alabama offensive tackle Evan Neal is an experienced, clean, and physical tackle, one of the best-rated lineman in the SEC. He was a stalwart for the dominant Alabama offense over the last two years, and will likely experience the same success in the NFL. He is clean in the pass game, possessing wonderful technique and physicality. He has equal gumption in the run game, where he was found bowling defenders over and leading the charge for the Crimson Tide in the run game.
Neal will bookend on the right side of the offensive line, opposite Andrew Thomas, and will give Jones the protection he has lacked over the years.
