Mumbai: Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut on Tuesday accused the Election Commission (EC) of being partial towards Opposition leaders, saying "they (EC) check our belongings, helicopters and private vehicles, but why are they not checking the convoys of Devendra Fadnavis, Ajit Pawar and other Mahayuti leaders?"
"Our luggage, helicopter, private jet, vehicles and everything is checked. They reach our homes. We dont have any issue with it if it is done impartially. Our luggage is checked but are the helicopters and vehicles of Eknath Shinde, Devendra Fadnavis, Ajit Pawar, Narendra Modi and Amit Shah also checked,?'' Sanjay Raut said while addressing reporters.
