With many getting away to more pleasantly sunny climes from Bristol Airport this summer, it may come as a surprise to see that car parking charges have gone up from just a few months ago. Back in March 2022, the charges to access the Airport's Silver Zone, long stay and multi-storey car parks were cheaper than they are now mid-August - and they have fluctuated month-to-month this year.
In March 2022, prices at the long stay car park cost £45 for 0-24 hours, up to £123 for five days, with a £10 extra per day following that. Now, a space in the same car park will cost you £50 for 0-24 hours, up to £135 for five days, and an extra £12 per day after that.
With the cost of living on the rise, and rising prices seeming an unfortunate norm, Bristol Live contacted Bristol Airport to ask for confirmation as to why the price rise is so frequent. Bristol Airport has explained exactly why the car parking charges change so regularly, and it may not be for the reason you would expect.

A spokesperson for Bristol Airport said, "We have a choice and a variety of car parking options for customers and booking online with us direct guarantees the best price. Prices are determined automatically based on demand so the best prices are obtained the earlier you can book. Bristol Airport has a free one-hour car park for pickups and drop offs, with courtesy buses to the terminal.
"Alternatively, there are many direct bus and coach services linking the airport with the city, south west, and south Wales.” You can head to Bristol Airport's website to get a quote for the car parks here."
Alongside the three car parks at the airport, there are also options for those who get a lift. The short stay and pick up, meet and greet, and drop and go car parks offer options for people not wanting to park their vehicles for the duration of their trip.
