Rodney Jones, the man who sued Sean “Diddy” Combs for sexual assault, is now being countersued by the rapper. Diddy has accused him of stealing and selling footage for 50 Cent’s Netflix documentary, Sean Combs: The Reckoning. He also claimed that the producer defamed him by repeating sexual assault allegations during the documentary.
This countersuit claims that Jones (who filed his lawsuit against Diddy in February 2024, but many of the claims were dismissed in March 2025) stole footage by using his access to Diddy in 2022 during a trip to St. Barts. According to Combs’ countersuit, there were multiple videographers on that trip, including Jones, and it's been alleged that he stole a different cameraperson’s footage.
