Rainbow Six Siege streamer Nicholas “Jynxzi” Stewart followed through on a brutal on-stream bet this week, shaving off his eyebrows after losing a 1v1 wager to Darren Jason “iShowSpeed” Watkins Jr.
The moment happened at the end of their wager, live on stream, with very agitated Jynxzi shaving both his eyebrows with a trimmer while iShowSpeed ragebaited him, saying he wouldn’t have done it if he’d lost.
The wager
Within the rules of their bet, Jynxzi and iShowSpeed played Rocket League and the EA FC on stream. Rocket League was first, and with Jynxzi being a superior player, he gave Speed a 96 goal headstart in their first-to-100-goals match. However, he vastly overestimated his ability, as several of his own mistakes lead to more goalscoring opportunities than what Speed managed to create on his own. With the rate the goals were being scored, had Jynxzi given a 90-goal lead instead, he’d likely have won in the end. But as it stood, the final scoreline was 60:100 in favor of iShowSpeed.
EA FC was a different story. The first match they played was Real Madrid vs. Barcelona. Speed led for most of the game, but at the very end, Jynxzi equalized through the efforts of Robert Lewandowski. It turned out they had forgotten to set up any extra time, so the game ended in a draw, 2:2, and thus didn’t count.
The next match was Manchester United vs. Liverpool, with Jynxzi claiming the latter was the greatest Premier League team in history. Both played relatively well, but Speed was much better at converting his chances and won 4:1. The final match was Portugal vs. France – iShowSpeed finally getting to play with Cristiano Ronaldo, his idol. He completely dominated, leaving Jynxzi absolutely no chance, 5:1.
Jynxzi shaving his eyebrows
Part of their bet was that the loser would have to shave his eyebrows then and there live on stream. Jynxzi was visibly upset and agitated with this loss, as someone handed him the trimmer to shave his eyebrows with. Speed didn’t let the chance to gloat pass, as he said he never doubted that he’d win, adding that he wouldn’t do this if he somehow lost anyway because he has to record stuff tomorrow.
Nail in the coffin for Jynxzi was his AI misleading him, telling that his eyebrows would grow back in 2 to 4 weeks, later correcting itself by giving a more realistic estimate of 4 months.
Jynxzi was in disbelief at this information:
Wait, wait, wait. Earlier, you said 2-4 weeks for eyebrows to grow back. I’m gonna have no eyebrows for 4 months!
Jynxzi
But it looks like Jynxzi has come to terms with his loss and the fact that he’ll have to live months without his eyebrows, as he proceeded to shave his head as well.
Jynxzi had the spotlight on him earlier this month when Supercell, the studio behind Clash Royale, made a blog post about the historic year for the game without mentioning any of the big streamers that made this a possibility.
