Why Chelsea vs Leicester City Premier League clash is not being televised live in the UK

Chelsea are set to take on Leicester City on Thursday evening, but the game isn't being broadcast live on TV in the UK.

Sky Sports opted to show Aston Villa’s game against Burnley due to the ongoing relegation scrap at the bottom of the table. Chelsea's original scheduled date to play Leicester was postponed due to the Blues featuring in the Carabao Cup final.

Thomas Tuchel's side have featured in both domestic cup finals this season, but lost out to Liverpool on both occasions, losing on penalties in both the FA Cup and Carabao Cup finals at Wembley. Tuchel spoke ahead of the game against Leicester covering topics on Ben Chilwell's return to training, Andreas Christensen's recent absence and the return of multiple loanees this summer.
