Canterbury are tasked with ending Penrith's dynastic run of premierships but centre Bronson Xerri barely watched the historic streak for fear of what it could have done to his mental state.

In May 2020, only two days before the NRL resumed from a COVID-enforced hiatus and the Panthers began their rise, the league announced it had provisionally suspended Xerri.
