Arsenal have enjoyed a near-perfect weekend of football with several results going their way. As the Gunners were producing a memorable comeback against Bournemouth, their north London rivals Tottenham were beaten by Wolves and to end the weekend Manchester United, who looked set to crash the title party, were embarrassed by Liverpool.
The only negative coming out of game week 26 was Manchester City keeping hot on the Gunners tails at the top of the Premier League with a victory against Newcastle. Nonetheless, Arsenal still hold the advantage over City and judging by the manner of United's defeat, it looks likely they will only have Pep Guardiola's men to worry about.
A surprising title race between City and Arsenal has prompted several predictions to be made, with Gary Neville particularly vocal on the battle for silverware come May. Arsenal fans have been locked in a feud with Neville because of his views on the Gunners chances to beat City to the title, therefore when his beloved United lost 7-0, Arsenal supporters did not hold back.

While Neville has played down talk of United being in the title race, he has been clear in his thoughts regarding Arsenal's chances of winning the league. "They [Arsenal] won't win the league. Manchester City will win the league, and I think Man Utd will finish second, and I know that will annoy Arsenal fans," Neville revealed in January.
Earlier this week, Neville doubled down on those claims, saying on the Overlap: "That’s my inkling earlier in the season, what normally happens is one team gets so close they realise they can’t win it and then they just go like that in the last two or three games. You lose two games and then all of a sudden someone else goes above you. I thought City would win the league and United would finish second two or three months ago.
"To be fair, I’m not going to change my mind on it. I still think City are going to win the league even though Arsenal, the closer it gets… but 14 games is still a long way to go. I still think United will finish second."
Arsenal fan @AlexL96_ took to Twitter to poke fun at Neville. "14 points clear of Man United. Does Gary Neville still think United will finish above Arsenal".
@WillUsher12 said: "Someone bring up that quote from Gary Neville about Man United finishing above Arsenal *six laughing face emojis*"
After the weekend's results, United are now 14 points behind Arsenal, meaning Erik ten Hag's side have to make up at least five victories over Arsenal for Neville's prediction to come true.
