Arsenal's matchday kit for Thursday evening's Europa League clash with PSV Eindhoven will be slightly different to their normal away strip. That's because the Gunners will be wearing a special one-off pair of shorts - so it seems anyways - specifically designed for tonight's clash.
Mikel Arteta can afford to rest a number of key players for the European clash after the Gunners secured qualification for the knockout rounds last week, but the Spaniard will probably name another strong side as he looks to guarantee top spot.
The Spaniard's side looked fatigued in the second half against Southampton last weekend as Stuart Armstrong ruled out Granit Xhaka's early goal to earn a big point for the Saints. Arsenal have a number of injury doubts ahead of the clash with PSV as Arteta prepares to hand a number of fringe players some much-needed game time and rest his key starters.

As the away team, and because PSV's home kit is traditionally red and white, the Gunners were expected to line up in their regular black and gold second strip in the Netherlands. Nevertheless, it appears as though Arteta's players will be kitted out slightly differently come kick-off time because Arsenal have seemingly manufactured alternative shorts for the team to wear.
Taking to Twitter, Arsenal journalist Tim Stillman (@Stillberto) shed light on the situation: "[I] Find all the admin behind this fascinating," he tweeted. "Basically, I'm told that you submit all your kits to UEFA and they tell you what you are wearing for each game. Can only imagine that when UEFA told Arsenal to wear their home shorts, they decided to quickly manufacture an alternative."
Gunners supporters will be intrigued to find out how the kit looks in all its glory. On the other hand, the players will be focused on avoiding defeat against the Eredivisie outfit as they aspire to reach the Round of 16 without faltering.
