Viewers tuning into ITV's This Morning on Monday, October 17 were surprised to discover that usual Monday to Thursday presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby were missing from the sofa. Their disappearance from the show comes mere days after the pair were booed at the National Television Awards 2022, which you can read about here.
Dermot O'Leary and Alison Hammond, This Morning's Friday presenters, took their place and fans have issued their concern on social media, with one person asking: "Why is @Schofe & @hollywills not on @thismorning this week?" According to ITV, Phillip and Holly are taking their half-term break this week and Dermot and Alison will be sitting for them. While half term doen't take place in Wales until the week starting Monday, October 31, some schools in England have half term this week and others have their break from Monday, October 24.
Their decision to take time off has been criticised. One viewer wrote social media: "Holly and Phil have only been back about a month and now they're of again.."
Meanwhile, another said: "Have Holly and Phil jumped the queue on half term as well? Isn't it next week for most schools?"
A third commented: "Half term is next week… Did Holly and Phillip decide to fast track half term as well?"
This Morning airs on weekdays on ITV at 10am
