- A resort in Lapland has hidden a bar of gold worth €20,000 (£17,000), which is free for the first person to find it.
- The “Midnight Sun Hunt” in Levi aims to attract visitors to the region during the summer, when the sun never sets.
- The 24-hour a day hunt is scheduled to begin on 18 June and will run until late August, or until the gold bar – which appears to be quite small in size – is discovered.
- Participants will follow a series of clues, released throughout the summer, which will guide them closer to the hidden prize.
- Organised by Visit Levi and partners, the hunt advises participants to stay within permitted areas and respect the natural environment, while no digging is required.
