A new documentary about Dame Julie Andrews is set to be released on Disney+ in 2027, featuring new interviews and unseen archival footage.
Disney+ 's social media announcement, which included an angelic portrait of Andrews and the caption “Courage, resilience, grace. The definitive documentary on the legendary Julie Andrews is coming to Disney+ in 2027,” caused panic among fans.
Many fans initially feared the announcement was to say Andrews had passed away, leading to widespread distress on platforms like X and Instagram.
One fan wrote: “Baby, this scared the spoonful of sugar out of me! My God.”
The untitled documentary will be directed by R.J. Cutler and will cover Andrews' life from her early British vaudeville days to her iconic film roles.
