Nancy Guthrie, the mother of Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie, remains missing more than a month after what has been described as an abduction from her home in Tucson, Arizona, and on Sunday 8 March the Pima County Sheriff's Department said a damaged utility box near the property was being reviewed as part of the investigation.

For context, the search began on 1 February after Nancy Guthrie was last seen at her Catalina Foothills home in Tucson on 31 January, and the case has since unfolded in public through family appeals, reported ransom notes and a reward offer from Savannah Guthrie. The latest update did not deliver a breakthrough, but it did pin official attention to one very specific object just around the corner from the house.
