The animated Disney classic is set to come to life in Newport this weekend, when 101 Dalmatians take part in a charity event alongside BBC presenter Dr Rhys Jones.
National Dally Rally Day is the one day a year when hundreds of Dalmatian owners and their dogs walk together to raise money for Dalmatian charities.
This year, it falls on Sunday, February 27, and there will be 45 different walks taking place across the country - with one right here in Newport, Wales.
Jim Chojecki, founder of the Facebook group Cardiff and South Wales Dalmatians , organised the event, and cannot wait to take his eight-year-old Dalmatian, Daisy.
“We used to travel over to Bristol for the nearest Dally Rally event,” Jim explained.
“Two years ago, I got the word out and decided to set up a group in Cardiff for Dalmatians.”
Cardiff and South Wales Dalmatians is one of two Dalmatian groups in Wales.
In 2019, 24 Dalmatians took part in the Wales Dally Rally, and after having to cancel last year due to lockdown restrictions, this year’s event is set to be bigger and better than ever.
“Dalmatians are unlike any other dog breed, they are extremely unique,” Jim said.
The Dally Rally is a great opportunity for dog owners to get to know each other, and a chance to let Dalmatians play and run free with their breed.
Cardiff and South Wales Dalmatians will be raising money for the breed's charity, Dalmatian Welfare .
Dog owners and lovers have the choice to donate to the charity, purchase merchandise, or turn up for free.
“We currently have 360 members on the Facebook page and I believe around 101 Dalmatians will attend,” Jim said.
On the day, Dalmatian parents will meet at Tredegar House, in Newport, and walk through the courtyard around the lake - led by BBC wildlife presenter, Dr Rhys Jones.
“It’s going to be lots of fun,” Jim said.
“Seeing that many Dalmatians together is a beautiful occasion and a head-turner.
“Plus, it’s all for a good cause.”
