The View descended into chaos on Monday's instalment as Whoopi Goldberg spontaneously gave her co-host Sunny Hostin a lap dance midway through the show.
The surprising moment occurred during the Hot Topics segment of the programme, in which hosts discussed whether getting a lap dance at a bachelor or bachelorette party should count as cheating.
During the debate, Sunny changed her mind about her stance on the matter.
"I said during our Hot Topics meeting that lap dancing isn't cheating, but come to think of it, I've never seen a lap dance. So maybe it is cheating!," she said.
Fellow panellist Alyssa Farah Griffin was gobsmacked at the admission, asking Sunny whether she had seen the critically acclaimed 2019 movie Hustlers, starring Jennifer Lopez.
However, Whoopi decided to take things into her own hands. "Would you like to see?," she asked Sunny and proceeded to give her a lap dance while the audience cheered in delight.
The moment went down a treat with viewers at home, with one person tweeting: "Whoopi Goldberg just showed Sunny Hostin how to lap dance on live tv today. Wow. Happy Monday. #TheView."
A second wrote: "Whoopi's Lap Dance Lesson was epic. @TheView #TheView," while a third joked: "Whoopi giving Sunny a lap dance was not at all the direction I was expecting today's episode to go."
This isn't the first amusing interaction or conversation between Whoopi and Sunny.
Earlier this month, Whoopi banned all conversation about her passing wind on The View after her co-host Sunny brought up the "fart incident" issue.
The Sister Act star allegedly let one rip during the daytime talk show, audibly passing gas before one of her co-hosts burst out laughing and pointing the finger at Whoopi as the culprit.
She quickly claimed her mistake, saying: "That was gas," as the audience joined in, laughing.
Sunny shared more details about the awkward moment while chatting on Andy Cohen's SiriusXM radio show.
She revealed: "It just turned into this big thing, and so Whoopi said, 'Why did you tell everybody I fart all the time?' and I was like, 'Because you joke about farting all the time, and I'm across from the table'.
"'I can't smell it! Whoever smelt it dealt it, so I just had no idea'." she said before adding: "Thanks a lot [Andy], but I mean, Whoopi and I are very close, so she was OK."
Following the allegations of fart noises, producers have brought in coasters to avoid the sounds. A source told Entertainment Weekly that the mugs and cups were the "source of the show's sonic terrorism" as they "scrape across the show's glass table."
The source added that the director wanted to see how the glassware looked while resting atop the white coasters.
