Whoopi Goldberg turned viewers' stomachs after she revealed that she and her daughter openly discuss their bowel movements.
The View panellist was discussing family life with guest John Stamos when she admitted that she and her 48-year-old daughter Alex "still talk about poop".
John said how his son "says poop a lot", and Whoopi replied: "That's my kind of guy."
"No matter what age. Mine's 48 and she and I still talk poop," she said.
According to Whoopi's granddaughter Amara, the Sister Act star got her nickname because of her habit of openly letting rip.
Amara who is a co-host on Claim to Fame also shared the story that her grandmother once had a "fart war" in an elevator.
She said how the Ghost actress let rip in the lift with Robin Williams and Billy Crystal.
"I wasn't there, but it was my favorite story that my grandmother has told me," she said.
"About her, Robin Williams and Billy Crystal standing in an elevator, and Robin Williams was just farting his life away.
"I guess they were Dutch-ovening each other, just basking in the ambiance of farts."
She continued: "My grandma got her name because she likes to fart a lot.
"So, whoopee cushions, farts. That's how Caryn Johnson became Whoopi Goldberg."
The comedienne is currently working away on putting plans together Sister Act 3.
She told her co-hosts that she's got her sights set on a selection of women to star in the film.
Lizzo, Nicki Minaj and Keke Palmer are on her star-studded list.
"I’m gonna ask Keke to come. You know, I want everybody to come in. I want Lizzo to come," she told the audience.
"I want as many people who want to have some fun because I really, desperately need to have some fun," she added.
She will star as her original character Deloris Van Cartier, for the third film in the franchise with comes 30 years after the original film's release.
She's teamed up with producer Tyler Perry to create the project, and the script is to be completed by the end of the month.
Sister Act sold 231 million worldwide at the box office, and its sequel hit 125 million.

She recently burst into an on-air rant about a new TikTok trend which sees users dipping prosciutto ham in butter.
"You don't put prosciutto with butter!" Whoopi argued as her co-host Sunny Hostin argued: "No you gotta put..."
"No, no, no, you don't put prosciutto with butter, what the…" Whoopi continued as the audience laughed.
