Whoopi Goldberg is adamant Will Smith's outrageous slap on Chris Rock at the Oscars last week won't affect his successful career.
The presenter and Academy governor, 66, had previously spoken out about the incident to say Will 's first-ever Oscar won't be taken away from him.
And now, speaking on The View, she has admitted she doesn't believe his outburst will affect what has been a hugely successful career to date.
As she read from the auto-cue, Whoopi appeared to roll her eyes as she asked the set-up question for the Hot Topic discussion on the i-Robot actor's career.
She said: "Some of Will Smith’s future projects are in question. The question is does he have a path back?"
Whoopi had a giggle at her own question and quickly answered it herself saying: "Yes, of course he does. He’ll be fine. He’ll be back. No worries."
The topic is seemingly becoming old news for the panel as they decided to quickly move on.
Co-host on the show, Ana Navarro, added: "I’m so tired of talking about this I’d like to slap myself."
She continued: "He’s had over 30 years of a career where he’s had a very positive image, been a positive role model, he’s been very philanthropic, he’s done all sorts of things. None of us should be judged by our worst moment.”
It's been reported that a string of films featuring the Fresh Prince of Bel Air actor are set to be axed following his actions.
The 53-year-old stunned onlookers when he stormed the stage of the Academy Awards and slapped Chris Rock after the comedian made an ill-judged joke about the actor’s wife, Jada Pinkett-Smith.
He then bellowed: "Keep my wife’s name out your f***ing mouth!” while the astonished A-List audience watched on in shock.
Despite his latest apologies, The Hollywood Reporter claimed last week that a Netflix film titled Fast and Loose and due to star Will had been shelved in light of the scandal.
TMZ also suggest that Will's other Netflix projects, namely The Council and Bright 2 could also be scrapped because of his outburst.
It is also claimed that the fourth instalment of Bad Boys, which had been in active development at Sony and Will had “received 40 pages of the script prior to the Oscars,” has now been paused as Will continues to feel the effect of his violent actions.
