Who won Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury fight? Result from Fury vs Paul boxing fight

Tommy Fury recovered from being dropped by Jake Paul to outpoint his rival and settle their two-year grudge,

Fury dominated large parts of the fight during which both men were deducted points by the referee but gave his fans a scare when he was dropped in the final round.

But the judges scored the fight in the Brit's favour as he inflicted a first defeat on the social media star.

Paul and Fury finally walked to the ring after two botched attempts. Their first fight was scrapped when Fury broke a rib in training while their second was cancelled when the Brit was refused entry to New York.

Fury made his entrance in a white robe with "Bambi", the name of his newborn daughter, emblazoned on his chest. And he was made to wait in the ring as Paul deliberately took his time leaving his dressing room. When he did, the YouTuber was met by a cacophony of boos

Fury was the aggressor in the opening seconds as he forced Paul to hold. Fury's jab was the most effective shot as he settled well in the early stages. Paul did land a right hand midway through but a left hand on the bell from Fury saw him edge the session.

Fury's jab continued to find a home in the second round but Paul was inching closer with his right hand with one clipping his rival. Paul was the less fluent of the two but did land a left hand in the opening stages of the third round, his best to date.

Fury made a fast start to the fourth round as he pinned Paul in the corner before clipping his rival with a right hook. Paul responded with a left hand as he attempted to claw himself back into the contest. The two corners were informed of the score at the halfway point as part of a new scoring system and Paul's task was made even tougher when he was deducted a point for punching the back of Fury's head.

Paul almost certainly required a stoppage with three rounds remaining but it was Fury who continued to land the more eye-catching shots. But the Brit was then deducted a point for holding to level up the penalties dished out by the referee.

Paul attempted to take the fight to Fury in the penultimate round but his reckless style played into the hands of his opponent who countered well. Paul looked the more tired at the start of the final session but he started like a man who knew he needed a stoppage. And he dropped Fury early in the round with a straight left hand to give himself a chance.

Fury bounced back up and insisted he had slipped but the referee waved away his complaints. And the Brit responded well by backing Paul up to the ropes and forcing him to cling on. Neither man could force a finish as the fight went to the judges.

On the undercard, Badou Jack became a three-time world champion by stopping cruiserweight world champion Ilunga Makabu in the 12th round. Jack dropped Makabu in the fourth and 11th sessions before the fight was waved off with 54 seconds remaining.
