Who won at the Oscars? The main Academy Award winners for 2026

  • Paul Thomas Anderson’s film, One Battle After Another, dominated the Academy Awards, securing six accolades, including Best Picture and Best Director.
  • Sean Penn received the Best Supporting Actor award for his role in One Battle After Another, which also won for Adapted Screenplay, Editing, and the inaugural Oscar for Casting.
  • The film Sinners earned four awards, including Best Actor for Michael B Jordan and Cinematography for Autumn Durald Arkapaw, who made history as the first female and Black winner in that category.
  • Jessie Buckley became the first Irish actress to win the Best Actress Oscar for her performance in Chloé Zhao’s Shakespeare drama Hamnet.
  • Amy Madigan was named Best Supporting Actress for her villainous portrayal in the successful horror film Weapons.
