It all comes down to this: Super Bowl LVII pits the Kansas City Chiefs against the Philadelphia Eagles for a winner-takes-all shot at glory on Sunday. But who will win in Arizona?
First, let's take a look at how they got there. Patrick Mahomes starred in the Chiefs' AFC championship victory over the Cincinnati Bengals, playing through an ankle sprain to throw for 326 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in a late 23-20 win. That towering performance ensured the Chiefs have reached the Super Bowl three times in the last four years, and, unsurprisingly, Chiefs coach Andy Reid believes Mahomes should be named NFL MVP for the 2022 season.
Standing in the Chiefs' way are the Eagles, who saw off the San Francisco 49ers 31-7 in a crushing NFC Championship walkover. Granted, injuries to Brock Purdy and Josh Johnson hamstrung the 49ers' offense, but the Eagles looked formidable with four rushing touchdowns and a tight defense to put the Chiefs on notice.
