If you look around the league, most of the top quarterbacks in the NFL have a target they go to when they need a conversion and the player they look to the most.
As Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett heads into his second season, he has a strong list of potential candidates to be that guy for him Pittsburgh has three wide receivers, Diontae Johnson, George Pickens and Allen Robinson with the potential. The Steelers also have tight end Pat Friermuth and running back Najee Harris who each have the potential to haul in a ton of passes.
Obviously from a schematic standpoint, distribution of labor will be key this season. However, this doesn’t change the fact that Pickett will be a better quarterback if he has a guy he knows he can go to and that knows he has Pickett’s confidence when he needs him. We saw how it worked when Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown worked so well together. There were always catches for the other skill players but Brown was the man.
Cast your vote and tell us who will be Pickett’s go-to pass catcher this season.
