Primož Roglič (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe) won the general classification at the Vuelta a España for a record-equalling fourth time, finishing second in the time trial on the final stage behind Stefan Küng to seal his overall victory.
Roglič took the lead of the race on stage 19 from Ben O'Connor (Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale), who held on to finish second overall ahead of Enric Mas (Movistar) in third place, with the Spaniard finishing on the podium for a fourth time at his home Grand Tour.
Matthias Skjelmose (Lidl-Trek) comfortably took the white jersey over Florian Lipowitz (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe) after Carlos Rodríguez (Ineos Grenadiers) capitulated on the penultimate stage.
In the points classification, Kaden Groves (Alpecin-Deceuninck) retains his lead in the points classification after he took over the green jersey following the abandonment of Wout van Aert (Visma-Lease a Bike), who crashed out on stage 16.
After an intriguing battle between two UAE Team Emirates teammates for the mountains classification, Jay Vine sealed victory over Marc Soler in the classification on the penultimate stage of the race and got through the final time trial unscathed to win the polka-dot jersey. Their squad also won the teams classification ahead of Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe.
