Kasia Niewiadoma (Canyon-SRAM) held on to the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift leader's yellow jersey on stage 7 as she thwarted the attacks of reigning champion Demi Vollering (SD Worx-Protime).
Puck Pieterse (Fenix-Deceuninck) moved up to second overall ahead of stage six winner Cedrine Kerbaol (Ceratizit-WNT) who is now third. Vollering has improved her GC position to 8th place.
Stage seven was won solo after after Justine Ghekiere (AG Insurance-Soudal) survived from the day's early breakaway.
Ghekiere strengthened her hand in the fight for the mountain classification as she finished first over all but one of the climbs on stage seven. She now leads that competition by 16 points over Puck Pieterse.
Marianne Vos (Visma-Lease a Bike) joined Ghekiere in the breakaway and won the intermediate sprint to open up an unassailable lead in the points classification. Her closest challenger Charlotte Kool (dsm-firmenich PostNL) failed to finish the seventh stage.
Pieterse is still the leader in the young rider's classification, 45 seconds ahead of Shirin van Anrooij of Lidl-Trek, who lead the team's classification.
