The third week of Celebrity MasterChef heats continued on Thursday (August 25) night as the four remaining famous faces took to the kitchen for the second time. Their culinary skills were once again put to the test as the celebrities competed for a place in the quarter-final.
In the latest instalment of the cooking competition actor and soap star Richard Blackwood, actress and Birds of a Feather star Lesley Joseph, television presenter Kirsty Gallacher and former professional footballer Jimmy Bullard were tasked with cooking three new dishes. The first was a Crepe Suzette, the second task was a recipe set by professional chef Asma Khan and finally a brunch dish.
There are only two places available in the semi-final alongside Call the Midwife star Cliff Parisi, All Saints singer Mel Blatt, McFly's Danny Jones and Love Island star Faye Winter. So who was the latest star to leave the competition and who is going through to the quarter-final, here are all the details:
Who left Celebrity MasterChef 2022?
TV presenter Kirsty Gallacher became the latest star to leave the competition on Thursday night's episode. She served up Huevos rancheros for her brunch dish, which consisted of a fried egg on a spicy tomato and pepper salsa served with tortillas and cheddar cheese.
When serving her dish to the judges, John was quick to comment that the star had been cooking her dish right up to the wire. Gregg then commented that his egg was slightly undercooked for his liking and one of his tortillas needed slightly longer in the pan.
They both complimented her on her flavours but as the judges both deliberated which contestant should be going home they mentioned Kirsty's time-keeping and how she has a "last minute panic". She was then revealed as the celebrity leaving the competition.
Lesley Joseph, Jimmy Bullard and Richard Blackwood are now going through to the quarter final of week three's Celebrity MasterChef where they'll be tasked with cooking a two-course meal. This time, it's not just Gregg Wallace and John Torode that they'll need to impress as they'll also be cooking for former Celebrity MasterChef finalists Andi Peters, Megan McKenna, and champion Riyadh Khalaf, for a chance to be in the semi-final.
The quarter final of week three's Celebrity MasterChef airs tonight (August 26) from 9pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. You can watch the series so far over on the BBC iPlayer.
