In tonight's episode of Emmerdale, fans were finally told who Al's real killer was - after a few days of speculation that it had not been Cain. Fans had been predicting a twist ever since the murder, with many believing that Cain was covering for someone.
Fans had taken to Twitter to share their theories that he was covering for Kyle or Aaron, both of whom had been in the barn around the time of Al's death. In one episode, there had even been suggestion that it could have been Kerry who killed Al, after finding out about his affair with Chas.
But tonight's episode seemed to be playing heavily into the idea that Kyle could have been the real killer, because there seemed to be a lot of focus on the youngster throughout the episode. In the final scene, Cain revealed to Moira that is had indeed been Kyle who shot Al - and that he was covering for his son by going to prison.
